Ease of Use - Ordering Process:  The step-by-step ordering process at Snapfish is quite simple. We feel that anyone, be it a computer novice or a computer professional - will be able to upload and order pictures easily. We also liked a small but great fetaure - when you ordered prints, Snapfish lists tyour tracking number directly on your status screen. |

Quality of Prints:
Snapfish produced prints that were exceptionally - outstanding! To get a better feel of the quality of their prints, we sent the same set of digital photos to all of the online digital photo processors and developers - that we reviewed. Below is our analysis on the Snapfish prints: Close-up Photos: This Digital Print from Snapfish came out clear and crisp - when compared to the original that we had uploaded. The facial tones had a slight yellow tint, which was actually gave a very rich and great effect on the print. Scenic & Background Photos: The colors in this print look outstanding; Snapfish was able to clean up most of the shot and make this print look clean, crisp and sharp. We could not find out any particular defects in the prints. Also, cropping was minimal - something which is a major problem with most of the online photo printing services. |

Pricing:
Prices from Snapfish are competitive and very fair. Their prices are lowest across the board whether you are ordering simple 4x6 prints or large poster size images. They also offer volume discounts on 5x7 inch prints for quantities of 50, 100 and 250, and pre-pay discounts on 4x6 and 5x7 inch prints of 250 or more. |

Shipping Costs:
Snapfish, along with several other digital photo printing services - ranks the best for shipping costs. To ship nine 4 x 6 inch prints, this service charges $ 1.49. However, for every group of five photos you order, your shipping cost increases by about $0.49. For example, an order of 30 prints would cost $2.95 in shipping. The prints were sent in a standard paper photo folder with a piece of cardboard reinforcement and shipped in a lightweight paper envelope. Although our photographs arrived without any damage, we would have liked Snapfish to have more heavy-duty packaging. |

Turn Around Time:
 For each service provider that we reviewed; we gave them one to four days to ship us our finished prints in order to receive a high score in this category. With Snapfish, unfortunately, our original order was lost in the mail. We tried contacting the company through email, but after two days our message went unanswered. After contacting Snapfish on the phone our prints were reprinted and shipped via UPS 2-day shipping, at no cost to us. Snapfish also ships internationally - all over the world! |

Other Services:
Snapfish is the only service we evaluated that included video upload, as well as digital photographs. They also include an easy-to-use photo uploader that allows you to upload your photos to their site in bulk. At an additional cost you can choose to have your images sent to a local Walgreens, Walmart or photo kiosk, where you can pick them up yourself. Snapfish has a comprehensive selection of photo-base gifts, offering cards, calendars, mugs, apparel, stationary and more. You also receive free online album sharing, which allows you to post pictures online to "share" with family and friends. |

Summary:
Snapfish is a respected and well known brand-name in digital photo printing services. We were happy with the way our prints turned out. The shipping is reasonable as well. However, we were disappointed that they were not answering our email messages. |
